google account claims wordpress provider respondint too slowly.

  I want to use my wordpress email in my google account but I can’t ‘add’ it to my adresses. Whenever I’m nearly done I get this message: ‘Your other email provider is responding too slowly. Please try again later or contact the administrator of your other domain for further information.What can I do to fix this?

  Hi Anke,

  Please note that adding an email forward is just a forward and not an actual email address. What the forward does is just forward any emails from the forward you set up to your personal email. When you reply to those emails you’ll see that your personal email address is shown.

  Hello Grace, thanks for your reaction.
  I don’t want full email hosting and the email forwarding is working just fine.
  I was trying to add the working wordpress email adres to my gmail account so I can use it as a ‘send from’ instead of the .gmail.com of my google mail adres. it was THEN,when I tried to add the wordpress mail adres as an option that I got refused and received the message:
  ‘Your other email provider is responding too slowly. Please try again later or contact the administrator of your other domain for further information.’
  Any ideas as to what could prevent the wordpress domain to contact the gmail request of adding my (email visible only to moderators and staff) to it’s options? I do this under:
  (gmail)
  SETTINGS
  ACCOUNTS AND OPTIONS
  SEND MAIL AS
  Add another email address that you own

  So this is why there is an error. That would not be possible if you have an email forward. You cannot send from the forwarding WordPress email address you set up. You can only set this up if you have full email hosting.
