Google ads in WP without consent

In one of the blog I created for a person who 2500 miles away in her mail ID and PW and forgot about it. She accused me saying that I opened account in Google ads and inserted dirty ads there. I repeatedly informed that even if I did that, notice will come to your mail, you need to give your personal details and if even I commented in vulgar language that comment need to be approved by and that also will be intimated to you. Even before I explained this she deleted the blog and sent the info. Am I correct or not?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM does run some ads on the blogs, you agreed to the ads in the Terms of Service that you check “yes I agree to the fascinating Terms of Service” – the ads are part of how WordPress.COM pay for giving you a “Free” blog. You can upgrade to No Ads for about $ 30 a year. How did you think WordPress.COM paid for your “Free” blog?

Once in a while an off topic ad slips through but you can report that to the Staff. The only one I have seen in the Forum was a tourist blog that has some dating, get a bride ad showed up and they reported it and I think those ads were removed completely.

WordPress.COM occasionally runs ads on blogs here to help pay for this service they are providing. It started back in 2006: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2006/09/06/on-ads/ . It’s agreed to when you accept the Terms of Service here to start an account.

There is a no-ads upgrade which costs $30 per year (that helps offset the loss in revenue from the ads): http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/ .

WordPress works to make sure that inappropriate ads do not show up on the blogs here, and if one does, then staff wants to know about it.

Please help me I can give the blog name – if asked

~~thesacredpath – normally my typing is so slow – but time for me to work on installing some new lights for my blog (a how to change lights on a boat)

Hope your weekend is going well – even a bit of sunshine in the Northwest here today – bit of a shock but a nice change from the small craft advisory with rain yesterday.

@zubram, yes as Timethief says, contact staff. They can probably look at things and see what was showing up on it, both as ads and also as comments.

Without knowing if the comments were showing up in the spam filter, or if they were actually getting past the spam filter and onto the blog, and given that there is now no blog for us to look at, I’m afraid we volunteers can’t really help you much.

Make sure and include the URL of the blog that was deleted. They will need that to investigate.

@auxclass, have fun with the lights. Having more light in one’s life is always a good thing.

As you know the URL of the delete blog you can use Google Search. Locate the indexed entries and click “cached” to view the cached version as it was on the date of indexing prior to deletion.
