Google ads showing up on my blog

Ads by Google have suddenly started showing up on my blog although I don’t want them and can think of nothing I’ve done to cause them to arrive. They appear (typically in clusters of three, below the top post), remain for a few minutes or less, and then disappear. The ads appeared briefly on the following page today, but when I went back to capture a screenshot, they were gone: http://oneminutebookreviews.wordpress.com/2011/06/06/in-defense-of-meghan-cox-gurdon-childrens-book-reviewer/. Please tell me how I can make this stop. Thank you.

WordPress had been occasionally running ads on our blogs since 2006 to help keep this service mostly free.

Forgot to mention that you can buy the no ads upgrade and it will stop all ads from appearing on your site (yearly renewal).
