  I just purchased a domain for myself, does that give me the ability to put ads on my site/blog now? If so how? >.<

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  thank you, so from my understanding I need to go through WP.org in order to advertise? Correct?

  That is one option, yes. Using WordPress.org, which is a self-hosted solution, you can advertise using whatever method you want. I suggest taking a look at the support documents for WordPress.org before getting started, as well as this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  No, you can transfer yourself. Once you’re hosted independently, you can just go ahead with the process through Google.
