  i have followed all of the directions to add google adsense to my webpage and although the word “Advertisement” is now visible in the sidebar, there is no ad. I have copied and pasted the code into the widget as explained in numerous videos. Could there be a setting on my page that is not allowing the ad to display?

  First of all I’m guessing that Equalitydailynews.net is a self-hosted WordPress blog and not a WordPress.com-hosted blog with a custom domain name, correct?

  Keep in mind that in most cases you cannot use advertising with WordPress.com-hosted blogs. Again, though, I’m guessing from looking at your site that it self-hosted.

  What is the source of the directions you are following? Are you using the official Google Adsense plugin?

  Are you a brand new user to Google Adsense? According to Google it can take 2-3 days for your application to be fully approved. Until that time your ads may not appear according to this post on the WordPress.org support forum.
