Im trying to add an advert by google adsense, im doing everything step by step and after all the ad appears in the form of a code. What am I doing wrong?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can not sell any ads on your blog – period end
you can do a small amount of affiliate links but no image links – if you have a custom domain name you can signup for WordAds which is a revenue sharing program with WordPress.COM

I have been given the google adsense code to put into my site. my site is cravelife.org. It is a wordpress theme site and i have seen directions to put it in as a text widget but all i get is code showing up. In fact, I paste the code into the text widget, hit save and the can see that it gets changed in the text widget. any ideas? Please help.

No blogger initiated advertising for driving traffic to third party sites is allowed here on wordpress.COM hosted blogs. PPC is not allowed. Affiliate marketing banners and any and all advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com are not allowed.
The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.
