Google Adsense and Analytics, Upgrade?

  What do I need to do to be able to use Google Adsense and Google Analytics on my wordpress blog? Do I need to upgrade? If so, what do I need to upgrade, just the custom design? Because I can’t find where I can use plug ins on my current blog juliannerowe.wordpress.com and I need to add coding into the HTML to use both Adsense and Analytics. How can I do that, preferably without having to pay for an upgrade?
