  Where do I post the google adsense codes? Do I copy the code into a text widget?

  Nope. I’ll answer this in a easy way.

  Google adsense and advertising is not allowed on WordPress.com

  Try wordpress.org :) self host your self.

  But I must warn you: Google adsense pays less now, and has bad support.

  It isn’t allowed, we ask for the link to make sure that they are hosted here before answering so that if they are self-hosted we can send them to .ORG.

  Staff has said that they are looking into something to allow people to advertise, but then again I’ve been here for 2 years, and that was the same thing they were saying when I started.

  Seeing ads used to really irritate me, but I don’t care anymore one way or the other since I use adblockplus on both browsers I use and never see them anyway, I just see blank spaces where they were.
