Google Adsense In Sidebar?

  I Attempted to copy paste google adsense code for ads into my sidebar the html editor but when I click save it doesnt allow it. It just makes it blank. I think its because its javascript. But even if so I really need to add in my adsense stuff into the side. Here is my Java code <script type=”text/javascript”><!–
