Google Adsense should be alloud.
-
Advertisement is needed in free blogs so that the hosting organization can pay the bills, but if there is no such needs then i personally do not like ads in the blog for some extra money, even it will give me money directly. This simply spoils the webpage. I support a separate add page, as they have separate add channels in TV. And for Google AdSense, how many people clicks on the adds, if you do not appoint people to click them.

@hillelstoler
I agree with you completely. Well said.@phoxis
“how many people click on the ad?”
Don’t know, but how many people click on spam email?
Must be some, or they wouldn’t keep doing it…For I can raise no money by vile means. —Julius Caesar > Act IV, scene III

Really guys. that is MY BLOG. i also moved it to Blogspot.
http://boredumbuster.blogspot.com/
And really the only reason i dont get much comments is because its pictures and stuff, most people that search them are from other search engines without a wordpress account AND i dont think they would be willing to creat an account to comment on a picture they want saved etc..So please dont try say that i’m lying.
-
If you moved it, that’s fine. What are you doing HERE, where we’re talking about WordPress.COM?
We’re not saying you’re lying. We’re saying you’re wrong.
I make about $600 a month of ads on my blog network, and of that, I’d say that about 1/20th is Adsense. Besides, Adsense makes you look…cheap and stupid. It does. Adsense is just goddam tacky and makes you look like a two-bit loser.</stong>

By the way, unless I’m mistaken, 15 is not old enough to get an authorized Adsense account. So you’re out of luck anyway.

Very interesting discussion! I laughed more than once reading the posts.
My blog gets about 16k hits per month and I shifted to wordpress.org only yesterday http://vikas-gupta.in . Will soon try AdSense on it but that is not the primary reason I shifted. I wanted more themes and flexibility apart from experimenting with ads. I have no big desire for earning from ads.
Dougary 2112, your assertion in the header of your new blog “I made this blog originally on WordPress but it didnt allow me to put a google Ad on it so i shifted all my posts onto this! enjoy.” is in bad taste. You will make a bad entrepreneur! It is a WP policy, nothing less nothing more! You speak like you are some financial whizzkid LOL! You haven’t even put up redirection notice on your WP blog!
BTW, if anybody wants to see how the AdSense ads by by WP look on our blogs, then click this link http://vikas-gupta.in/2009/11/09/not-many-know-that-the-free-wordpress-com-blogs-have-ads-on-them/

Ads by Dodge and slot machines. Is there anything that says high-class or high-quality like that?
-
Google AdSense is not free from ills. Just see the AdSense forum and you will find so many people who have been banned, have not received payments and whatnot for unknowingly violating policies or due to some unknown error. http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/label?lid=215fb2e4b67e2667&hl=en

Everyone,
I have shifted to self-hosting and guess what is my first post after shifting?! The sound of drum is pleasant only from a distance!
It is ‘5 reasons why you should not shift from wordpress.com to wordpress.org’
-
Seems the OP is continuing to mirror his posts to his WP.com blog. Does someone want to tell him how that’s going to hurt him in the long-run? :-)
I agree that if allowing ads on WP.com happens, it should be a paid upgrade, but certainly more than the $30/year no-ad upgrade. That should help separate the chaff from the wheat. Also, if you haven’t yet read this interview of Matt Mullenweg by Jonathan Bailey of PlagarismToday.com, it certainly puts the no Adsense things in a different light.

Mark, thanks for the friendly reminder. I just realized I have put up four links three of which relate to my blog!
I learnt a new acronym from this discussion: OP [Original Poster].

@ Vikasjnu
I read your five reasons not to shift..from wordpress.com to wordpress.org..Still i am not expert in all this but i am running my blog, quite successfully.
