Google AMP issue warning – free account

Hi everyone,
I have a free WordPress blog that I’m trying to revive after a few years of dormancy. I’ve just noticed I had the following message from Google in 2021:
“To the owner of https://tauntedbywaters.wordpress.com/:
Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 AMP issue(s). The following issues were found on your site.
Top critical issues*
Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.
*Critical issues prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results.”
I’m assuming that, because I can’t get into my blog’s structure with it being a free account, I may be scuppered. If anyone could enlighten me, though, I’d be grateful. Might a change of theme be necessary?

The site is discoverable in Google. I just searched and it was the third result behind 2 Pinterest listings. For that reason, I would ignore that old message and not put much worry on it.
You’re correct that on WordPress.com the SEO tools are built in and free. There are some things you can do to amplify those tools and broaden your reach. The easiest one is to get a custom domain registered. This improves your discoverability but also makes you have amore recognizable brand. The best news, is that a domain is cheap!

I’d suggest getting all your product review posts in one category and link that category in the menu. You could repost them with “review” in the titles too.
