Our Moderator drmike likes to say the search box is your friend *lol* and this is what I got when I typed “javascript” into the FAQs search box http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/javascript-can-i-use-that-on-my-blog/
We are all on a shared wordpress multiuser MU blogging platform at wordpress.com. The administration already uses Google Analytics so “no” you cannot have this additional feature on your blog as the programming will strip it out.
Javascripts are not allowed to be entered by the end user on a multiuser blogging platform because if they were allowed, it would be easy to put one in there that would allow someone to lift a login cookie and cause damage or allow access to the dataservers. It’s a security issue.
If you type “rss feed” into the FAQs or the support search box you’ll find the information you need on feeds. Happy Blogging! -

The other issue is with Google Analyics. They do not allow two installs of their tracking software on a single site and since staff is already using here for tracking purposes, a second install of it would knock both of them out.
…Which is not true with Urchin, the software that is really GA and makes me wonder but I don’t have any real contact with either company. :(
