  How do I hook up Google Analytics to my site? And, what are the prerequisites?

  Its easy , create a google analytic account and get a UA-XXXXXXX code from there and add that code to you head of site , with the help of header and footer plugin

  also if you want help in tracking buttons and everything you can take my help

  For what site do you want to use Google Analytics? The WordPress.com account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any sites.

  To use Google Analytics on WordPress.com you need the Premium Plan, as indicated above.

  Or if you’re using the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider, you can use a plugin to do this. You can find Google’s official plugin to integrate Google Analytics here:
