Google Analytics
-
Hello,
Im trying to add the Google Analytics snippet into my CSS, but it doesnt work. Should I add something?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot use CSS editing to do that. There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins like Google Analytics on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If you want that then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. Here’s the comparison http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
From the support doc:

Can I use Google Analytics?
No, Google Analytics cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs at this time. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info -
Thank you Timethief, but I thought that was what I had? Glamourpussbook.com is a com-host and I pay for the domain?
-
Paying for the domain means nothing other than you have a custom domain. You need hosting elsewhere, at $120 a year and up, in order to run Google Analytics.
-
Well, no more I guess. Now you do have a custom domain. And, that’s all what’s needed.
I also had this problem, but found a workaround.
You can read it here: How to add Google Analytics on a WordPress.com blog | Web-Designer Arsenal
No more need for CSS or a $120 hosting/year @raincoaster !!! :)

Excuse me but we have known about the cloudflare workaround for google analytics on wordpress.com blogs since 2011 and we do not provide support for it.
