  how do I add google analytics to my new website?

  Google Analytics is not supported on wordpress.com blogs.

  Yep. The built in stats are all you get, sadly. Although some third party applications, like Feedjit (www.feedjit.com) can offer some limited data that WordPress doesn’t offer on its own.

  You can use Google Webmaster tools for a bit of info – sort of clumsy to use

  You can also use Statcounter, though like Feedjit, it offers relatively limited data—though it’s quite a bit better than the new stats page.

  They used to have Quantcast built in here – that was great first class pro stats package – then they threw out Quantcast about a year ago – real bummer
