  Hi guys,

  Wondering if you can help me – trying to add Google Analytics to my wordpress website – I have added the code provided by google to the header.php file, in between the wp-head and /head tags – which I am told is the correct way, however the platform isn’t picking up any stats – is this just a case of waiting a while for it to take effect?

  Hey there, it looks like you are at the wrong support forum. This forum is for sites hosted on WordPress.com, not for the self-hosted version of WordPress. More info in what’s different – https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
  You should be able to get help from the WordPress.org support forums.

  Google Analytics support on WordPress.com is available as a feature of the WordPress.com Business plan. Visit Settings → Analytics under My Sites to enable Google Analytics.
