  We can’t use any third-party stats tracking services on WordPress.com blogs, but the built in WordPress.com stats are pretty awesome too! Check out further info about stats at http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

  Though we can’t use Google Analytics, we can use non-Javacript tracking (statcounter, sitemeter, getclicky, etc.) Scroll down to the bottom of this page to “Visitor Tracking“.

  Thanks for this; this looks very technical. I have another site and I just paste the code into the header of the HTML code. I don’t think I will renew my blog with wordpress next year. WordPress is way too restricted.
