  I would like to get google analytics for my blog, how do i do this??

  Note: There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes this. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. To have plugins and Google Analytics you need to hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I wanted analytics because i find the existing stats are inaccurate, I get far more emails saying people have viewed my blog than the stats reflect?? am i misreading things or am I correct in my perceptions??

  Please let me run that by you one more time and add a little more. Google Analytics cannot be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. If you fee your need to use GA then you must hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.ORG install. For a comparison read > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
