Google Analytics connection broken, unable to re-authenticate

    This notification recently popped up on the admin account for the WordPress blog I run: ‘It appears the connection with your Google Analytics account has been broken. Re-authenticate with Google in Beehive Pro’s settings to continue viewing analytics in your Dashboard.’

    First of all, I don’t think I have Beehive Pro, so that’s confusing. Secondly, I can’t re-authenticate. I follow the steps WordPress gives me, but I don’t get very far. I click the button ‘Connect with Google,’ I select the right email account, and then an error page appears that says, ‘Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app.’

    I’m completely stuck and I don’t understand how to fix this or move forward. Admittedly, I’m not completely WordPress savvy, so maybe there’s something I’m missing. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    I’ve been thinking it is a WordPress hosted site, but I access it through a university so perhaps I’m wrong. Like I said, I struggle understanding WordPress, especially since I took over running this blog from someone else and I wasn’t around when it was first created.

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
