Google Analytics for Already owned Domain

    I’m building a website on a budget for a client using a free wordpress site. They’re currently using google analytics on their html website and want to continue to implement this tracking to their new website. They already have a server and owned domain name. Once the wordpress site is linked to that domain and server, will Google Analytics function properly?

    My main question really is if you NEED to have a Business Account in order for Google Analytics to work at all, or is it just so it can be easily accessible through WordPress.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    There is no alternative when it comes to wordpress.COM hosted blogs. You either purchase the Business upgrade for $299 US per year or you don’t have access to Google Analytics. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/01/29/google-analytics-for-wordpress-com-business-sites/
