Provided we use the non-javascript codes, we can use all of these free stats programs on wordpress.com blogs that I have listed below. Some are live visitor tracking programs and some are not.
activemeter, ClustrMaps, feedjit, getclicky, go-stats, sitemeter, statcounter, whosamungus And two free simple unique visitor counters for wordpress.com blogs are: Easy counter and Pax counter.

There is no upgrade that you can purchase from wordpress.com that will allow you to run Google Analytics on your blog.

Every upgrade here at wordpress.com is for a specific feature which is laid out in written form as stated on the ugrade page in your dashboard and in the support documentation.

So how can you be disappointed about your upgrade purchase?

Of course if you do have a very high traffic volume blog like Techcruch or CNN then you can apply to be accepted into the VIP hosting program, and if accepted then you can pay for set up and monthly fees but that’s the only exception. http://vip.wordpress.com/
