After installing Google Analytics for WordPress (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/installation/), I get stuck at the very first step; “Delete any existing gapp or google-analytics-for-wordpress folder from the /wp-content/plugins/ directory” When I type n my blog name with what is listed (mhttp://mylifeasthecrab/wp-content/plugins”, I get a page that says “We think you may be lost. Id happily ad some GA script myself but your HTML isn’t exactly…complete. Is there a way to see the *real* HTML?

We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/
Unfortunately, we do not have a way to allow Google Analytics on WordPress.com blogs at this time, but we do offer our own stats system: http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/
For more information on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, please see: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
