  I am looking for a plug in to use so that I may use Google Analytics with my blog. I am most interested in stats that allow me to see geographic detail beyond the country associated with the view. Google Analytics allows me to drill into the state and city level. I am also able to access time of day for the visit. I use Google Analytics with my other sites and what hoping to be able to use it with my WP site or have access to comparable stats via WP.

  I did generate a UA identifier and have the code – is there an alternative / work around to embed this code?

  Alternatively I located a plug in via yoast.com – is there any validity to this and can I use it with my site?

  You can’t use plugins & Google Analytics in your blog hosted in WordPress.com.

  Hi @templeton3114,

  This is what one of the Staff members at WordPress said about Analytics.

  Also, you can only use plugins with WordPress.ORG sites. You can’t use them on .COM sites. WordPress.COM will also strip out any Javascript or PHP code you try to add in yourself.
