Google Analytics not supported on WordPress.com?

  Just cannot believe Google Analytics is not supported. Essentially it means WordPress.com is not an option for most serious users. A very hard-to-understand decision on part of management…

  Are there any known workarounds for how to get the tracking code snippet added?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I have my own hosting, but I prefer wordpress.com for the sake of knowing that it will always be up and backed up and available. The fact that I cannot run Google Analytics is really a major drawback (not to mention the limited templates). That said, I still feel better about a using wordpress.com/hosted blog.
