Google Analytics per post, not page
-
Hello, I was trying to add in he Google Analytics code to my wordpress.com blog and want to know if there is a way I can have it track all things not simply my three pages and the important information is within my posts themselves. I was thinking this means I may need to install the code on each and every post but I would like some clarification. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You didn’t search before posting because if you had you would have easily discovered this:There is no upgrade aside from your blog being accepted into VIP hosting http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ that allows you to run Google Analytics.
This is a multi-user blogging platform. Our blogs share a common architecture. We bloggers cannot access metadata on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and install any tracking code, we have no FTP access and we cannot install plugins. Stats >
Note we cannot install Google Analytics.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info
anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. -
Hello!
Thank you for the help! I will be sure to check out those links. But it doesn’t appear to address what I was actually asking. I was inquiring about coding links, not an actual plugin as according to Google this code works separately from the plugin. I am unfortunately not tech savy enough to know if it does, which is part of why I was reaching out.I did do all the searching and was not trying to install the plugin. I have an actual code from Google that I can paste into pages to track the views on pages. It is working perfectly on the pages I installed it on. However some of the things I use the blog for are asking for specific page count information that is not provided in the wonderful stats that WordPress is including, which until recently was absolutely perfect for me.
I was seeing if there was a way to include the code in posts and have it tracked that way. This is not a plugin but an html code given to me by Google for use with WordPress domain blogs. However their FAQ’s did not state if it would track individual posts and that is what my question was….not about a plugin as I did do the searching and know that it is not useable.I may be wrong as I am not tech savy with plugins but that’s why I was asking specially about coding in a post not the plugin. Thanks again!

Again I may be completely wrong, I am not HMTL savy, just trying to follow based on what I was told from Google FAQ page :)

time thief…just wanted to say thanks again. Google got back to me, it’s only doable if you pay for the premium theme while still using the .wordpress.com (in case anyone else searches it) thank you again!

Sigh … What a shame you chose to spend all that time typing rather than reading the information at the links I pointed you to. You have wasted both your time and mine by failing read and/or failing to comprehend what is clearly stated at the links I posted above.
We cannot use Google Analytics on free hosted WordPress.com blogs – period and that is stated here >
http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-infoThere is no FTP access to our blogs and we cannot install any plugins at all and that is stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ As I said above: “Plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. “
Any coding you attempt to do to run Google Analytics on any free hosted WordPress.COM blog will be stripped out by the software.

WRONG!
There is no upgrade here you can purchase aside from VIP hosting http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ that allows the FTP access required to be able to install any plugins.
