I want google analytics, too!!! Please let us use it. It’s expensive and tedious to have to host your own site just to be able to use GA, isn’t it?

To analyze a market more is required than wordpress offers. I am warning people that wordpress will make it difficult to find real success on the internet without a lot of time and wasted effort.
The attitude of the wordpress commenters lets individuals know that they think their site is wonderful the way it is. And that attitude will diminish their success in the web business. I now have 355 people to tweet to about the hassles I’ve encountered in trying to measure my market effectiveness.

Thanks @timetheif. I think most of us know that. I for one am hoping that threads like this help to convince the powers that be at WP that it’s something worth doing for the sake of happy customers.

I would love to be able to incorporate Google Analytics code into my WordPress website. There is a lot of useful information there. There is no comparison between Google Analytics and WordPress Stats.

i need it too, would it only be to get the geographical data, I love it when a complete foreigner ends up on my blog … but unless they like or comment I don’t see it without analytics…

@romainlamoine – Cluster Maps, Site Meter and Flag Counter and others all have plain html code you can add to your site to show location or countries – they are each a bit different from each other and have a free version – Quantcast which is built into your blog also gives limited geographic info.

I agree. Seems crazy not to have google analytics on wordpress. I’m behind your campaign. Come on WordPress, get with the program!
