Google Apps doesn't work after Domain Mapping Upgrade
-
I recently upgraded to the domain mapping feature to a domain I had purchased via google, which is hosted on godaddy.com (www.philipjamesdevries.com). I paid 10 dollars for the domain through google so I could use google apps to manage multiple emails through that domain. However, when I ‘domain mapped’ my wordpress site from philipjamesdevries.wordpress.com to the domain mentioned above from google, google apps stopped working and I can’t access my gmail or other app features (I get a ‘this service is not available’ error message). To upgrade my wordpress site I had to change the nameservers on the godaddy hosting page to “ns1.wordpress, etc.” but not I can’t even access my domain on godaddy as I’m guessing it is now being hosted by WordPress.
Basically I want to be able to use google apps with my wordpress site, which has now been mapped to my google/godaddy domain. Can anyone help me get back the use of google apps?

I have the same problem. WordPress requires adding an verification code from Google. However I have already had my email through Google Apps for 3 years. I do not have an verification code and see no way of getting one.

You’ll need to add a TXT record from Google to your Custom DNS panel here. In many places, Google identifies this as the “Other” verification method.
