Google Apps Email Address
-
Recently I just start blogging on WordPress with my own domain, and set up a google apps account. After I’ve done all the things (Google Apps: setting up email, calendar, sites, WordPress: Domain mapping, DNS setting). I had a problem when I was trying to set my G apps email address to http://mail.example.com, when i typed it in my browser, it directed me to my blog (http://example.com). But, when I reset it back to the default email address https://mail.google.com/a/example.com, it works fine. I wonder what is the problem here? I tried to fix it by checking the DNS setting of my domain server provider (GoDaddy), have no clue about it!

I have already done that actually, they kind of guide you to those process when changing my email address on google apps. So, that’s exactly what I did, but it’s not directing to the appropriate address. Still leading the link back to la-vie.co, and not mail.la-vie.co

Your CNAME record must be invalid then. Many people make the mistake of creating a CNAME record that looks like this (and which doesn’t work)
CNAME mail.la-vie.co ghs.google.com.
Here at WordPress.COM, the record would look like
CNAME mail ghs.google.com.
I don’t know how it would be at GoDaddy. That’s as far as I can say, sorry. -
I’m sure my record would look like the second one. Thank you so much for helping tho!! :)
