I have lost access to my account because I was forced to factory reset my phone, and I had to create a second account to use the forums. The factory reset removed all my account for Google Authenticator.

I have tried using the form from the “Need more help,” early this morning, but I haven’t heard anything from support. I tried again and got 403 errors.

The site I need access to is mscmenslife.wordpress.com.

Is it possible to have wordpress.com send an SMS text when Google Authenticator is not available?

I have tried the Account Recovery page (http://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery) several times but get a “403 Forbidden” error when I submit the page.

I re-posed this query, can the other be deleted? Thanks for the help, this is a blog for a group I help with and I am going crazy thinking I won’t gain access to the site again.

If you think that posting duplicates will bring assistance faster than waiting for Staff to respond to the first thread then you are dead wrong. Creating duplicate threads is not in your best interest as it will delay the time it takes for you to get help.

Staff work their way through support tickets and forum threads tagged for their attention by dealing with those that have the earliest date and timestamps first. Please subscribe to this thread ie. your first thread and be patient while waiting for Staff to assist the bloggers who posted before you did.

Hi bdking81, thanks for letting us know about this error. It looks like there was an issue with the link you used to get to the account recovery page, but that should be fixed now. Can you please try submitting the form again?

You can use this link to reach the password reset page:

    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Click the “Need More Help?” link next to the button, and fill out the form. Our account recovery team will get back to you by email so you can discuss the options in private.

    Rachelmcr,

What is the average wait time to hear back from someone after the account recovery form is submitted?

I have two-factor authentication enabled on my blog and cannot log in. I get a WordPress verification code, but the number always generates an ERROR: Invalid verification code when I use it. Google Authenticator works otherwise on Google sites, and the application is time-synced, so it is not an application error but a WordPress error. I haven’t been able to access my site for over a month. I have tried to turn off two-factor on my Google account, but it does not affect the condition for having the code on WP. Resetting my password does not fix the issue.

    My blog is tousifrad.wordpress.com
    Username: tousifrad

foodparadisebd, I would suggest opening a new issue on the forum. Also, you have tried the account recovery form?
