  I have been searching for instructions on how to set back up the google authenticator app on my phone after deletion. It appears I need a QR code or account name and key to enter into the authenticator app. I have not found any detailed instructions to accomplish this.

  Hi,

  To re-add the application, you’ll need to resetup two-step authentication. You can do so at the http://wordpress.com/settings/security page. Disable two-step authentication, using one of your backup codes, then reactivate with your newly installed app.

  Your existing set of backup codes will be invalidated, so do grab a new set once the new app is setup.
