Google Calendar
-
Thanks so much for the very clear instructions on embedding my Google Calendar. I got it in there. BUT, it doesn’t look like the example in the instructions. It’s just .. a calendar. The events don’t show, even when you click the day. I have a feeling I’m missing something very simple.
Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
Would you please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question so we can see what you are seeing? -

Just set all events (I have several) to Public. I don’t see any change in the appearance of the calendar on the blog.

Might be that you’ve got it in the sidebar and sidebars are cached. Wait an hour and see if it’s the same.
Both the events AND the calendar must be set to public. I’ve got it working in my blog:
Google Calendars: Now with more WordPress.com embeddability goodness!

Your calendar looks very nice raincoaster!! That’s what I want. However:
1) I did a regular post — it still looks the same
2) Wouldn’t you want the calendar in the sidebar?? Otherwise, you’d have to keep re-posting. -
YOu have a code error on that. Are you grabbing the ENTIRE code they’re giving you? That is an entirely different format than I have, obviously.
No, I wouldn’t want that in the sidebar: it’s too small to read the events there. I want it in a static page, actually.

Thank you so much raincoaster. When I went back and set my view to WEEK on the Google Calendar page and recaptured the code, it worked much better. And I decided I agreed with you about putting it on a separate page. Hopefully this exchange will help someone similarly clueless.
