  I created the calendar some time age, and recently tried to add an event but, although it showed in the google calendar no changes showed on my page

  Hello there!

  Could you please remove that calendar from your page, and then re-embed the Google Calendar according to these steps:

  Embed a Google Calendar

  Once you’ve done that, could you let me know if the calendar has started synching again? If not, please let me know the code you’re using to embed your calendar, and I’ll troubleshoot this further.
