Google Calendar as a Widget?

  I’d like to have a calendar of my events (currently using Google Calendar)pasted into the sidebar on my home page. I copied and pasted the url from the Google calendar site into a widget text box, but when I hit save, the pasted url disappears! I tried to change the calendar size and follow the previous steps again – same thing.
  Can anyone help?

  The code is not allowed here, for security reasons. You can link to a public calendar, but not post the calendar right in the sidebar.

  OK, thanks. So to link to the public calendar, would I just add the link under the “links” sidebar, or can I still drop the link in a text widget – if so, how?

  Text Widget

  I find the easiest way to make a text widget is just to compose a draft post, then switch to the HTML editor and copy all the text. Paste that into the widget.
