Google Calendar Shortcode Not Generating
-
I have a public google calendar and followed all directions as mentioned at https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-calendar/ to generate the following iframe code:
<iframe src=’https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=announcements%40stpaulhouston.org&ctz=America/Chicago’ style=’border: 0′ width=’800′ height=’600′ frameborder=’0′ scrolling=’no’></iframe>
However when I paste this code in the Text editor of my page and hit publish, it did not convert to the googleapps shortcode. Even natively writing out the shortcode did not work (as mentioned and expected). This seems to be a common issue but no thread really had a solution. Additionally this does not seem to work be an issue for all. I am using WordPress 4.4.2 and tried this in Chrome 48 and IE 11 and both editors the http://DOMAIN/wp-admin and https://wordpress.com/page/DOMAIN.

I found this post but it did not resolve my solution: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/google-calendar-not-showing-up
Any ideas?

The shortcode I manually created was:
[googleapps domain="www" dir="calendar/embed" src=announcements%40stpaulhouston.org&ctz=America/Chicago" width="800" height="600" /]
and can be viewed at http://stpaulhouston.org/test/Thanks.
