google calendar widget cramped up?

    I followed the wp/com directions precisely, but the widget is so cramped that it’s unusable and makes the blog look messy. I’ve also added a page with my Google calendar embedded, and that looks fine. (Well, as fine as public Google calendars can look!)

    Anyone know why the widget is so cramped? I’ve also noticed that my ‘Categories’ drop down widget is cramped, it’s on the right side and the little arrow doesn’t fully show. Is this a weakness of the theme? (Misty Lake) Is there any way, without going Premium, to make the widget column a little wider?
