Google Docs support page isn't actual

Hello. The following help page https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/ is outdated. The Google Docs interface isn’t like that anymore.

Anyway, I’m trying to embed from Google Drive, a service that apparently didn’t exist in the times of the writing of this help page. Google Drive isn’t providing me any ‘iframe’ embed link, I don’t know how to include my PDFs in my blog!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK, I found how to embed, but it’s horrible…

    1. The PDF isn’t shown in the homepage, making my post appears as blank.
    2. When on the post page, the PDF is shown in the 100% size, so it doesn’t fits on the windows, and navigation horizontally is required, and this makes very hard to read a simple text. There is no zoom configuration.
    3. The pages doesn’t have spaces between them, all are conected one to another vertically. This makes difficult to know where exactly one ends and another begins.

Hum, I think it’s Google fault, not WordPress fault, so I contacted Google blaming them for their horrible service. Then I contacted Scribd to know better how their service works, and migrated the PDFs to this other service. The embedding is perfect. But still the reader isn’t shown on the home page of my blog, and I think this is WordPress fault.

I have another problem related with this that I related: the “read more” tag isn’t being show on the home page neither! I tried adding on “Edição nº 12”, both default text and customized, and the tag doesn’t appears!

    Hi there,

The Google Docs embeds on WordPress.com are designed to support Google Doc formats for documents, spreadsheets, slides, and forms. Those embeds may not work for other file types such as PDFs. (For those, I’d recommend the Scribd embeds you mentioned.)

With the Grisaille theme you’re using, you’ll see those embeds when you click on individual posts on your blog, like this one:

    https://jornalanimalonline.wordpress.com/2007/04/13/edicao-no-13/

The Grisaille theme only displays post excerpts on the blog page, not the full post, so your embeds and other post content (including the “read more” tag) won’t show up on your home page at https://jornalanimalonline.wordpress.com/. The theme will only show your custom post excerpt, or the first 20 words of a longer post.

If you want your embeds or other content to appear on your home page, I’d recommend browsing our theme showcase for a theme that displays the full post instead of just excerpts on the blog page.

Thanks, I chose another theme. Problem solved.
