Google fetch says "redirected" when I try to submit
-
Hi,
I tried to submit my blog to Google Fetch and it did not go through, saying “redirected”.
Is this because I upgraded and changed from http://www.stewartinnes.wordpress.com to http://www.stewartinnes.com?
Is there a way around this? Will it affect SEO?
It has discouraged me from upgrading another blog in case the same thing happens.
Any help appreciated.

You can use Webmaster Tools on WordPress.com

Thanks Galois,
I’ve read these and have been doing what they suggest – this is how I got to Google Webmaster.
My problem is I am able to submit one blog which is free and still a subdomain, and not another, which is paid for and therefore not a subdomain.

If you purchased your domain recently, Google Webmaster Tools takes time to check it.
Or you can repeat the process
http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-webmaster-toolsWith my custom domain (“http://trasnochada.es/”) I had to.

It’s already verified with Google.
I could not have tried to submit it and had this problem if I did not already verify it.

Hi Stewart,
You will always get a notice that your domain has been redirected because google (and all visitors really) have gotten a 301 redirect from stewartinnes.com to stewartinnes.wordpress.com, which is where your content really lives.
301 redirects are very common, you can get one depending on how a site handles a redirect taking you from http://www.domain.com to domain.com (or the reverse, if they’re fond of keeping the www in place).
Your SEO may be impacted slightly, but more because you are going from having one address (stewartinnes.wordpress.com) to another (stewartinnes.com). This is an unavoidable side-effect of changing site addresses, however your rankings will generally come back quite quickly as long as you continue to add new content.
