Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
I get this message when I use Google to search for my blog, even though I have posted regularly. This has not happened before. I have cleared the cache, and copied the latest post so that there is no date conflict. I have also ‘refreshed’ as suggestedThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL starting with http:// that are referring to please?
Is it http://suffolkdiary.wordpress.com/ ?If it is then I’m not seeing the error message in Google search.

the site is http://londondiaryblog.wordpress.com
I copied the post, and so changed the date, and reposted, and I think I was too impatient because I think it can now be found, although not directly through Google -
Deleting posts creates broken links. This thread is in part an example why why we avoid doing that > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/08/05/avoid-creating-404-pages/

This is what a Google search turns up http://tinyurl.com/ccuru2m
search string site:londondiaryblog.wordpress.com -
OK, so why was I getting a message that the site could not be found? And what should i do to avoid this happening again? I have looked at the site you recommend re deletions and will take this on, and in!

I don’t know why you were getting that 404 (page not found) error message. If the blog had been brand new this would apply http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/
It could be that Google’s search spiders went out to index the blog immediately after you deleted the post ie. before you replaced it.

OK, thank you for your help. I will follow the advice in the links you have sent me. I am relatively new to this, and because my blog is quite complex I have been preparing drafts, which I edit over a few days, and then post. I have also added another catetgory because one of the WordPress links I get suggested that several categories was a good way of being picked up by Google. Either which way I think I am sorted for the moment – thank you again

Be cautious about how the combined total number of Categories and Tags you assign to any post. See here to understand why I say that > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
