Google Friend Connect

    I have spent hours reading everything I could on how to add Friend Connect to my blog and need someone to validate my conclusion.

    It seems that one cannot add Friend Connect to a free WordPress hosted blog because there is nowhere that one can load those two pesky files that it requires.

    I have seen people writing about FTPing to the root directory but I assume that this only applies if one has WordPress hosted somewhere other than WordPress.com, as I don’t think I have access to anything that is a root directory.

    Can someone tell me definitively?

    There is no ability to FTP to the root directory with a wordpress.com blog.

    (If you haven’t already done a forum search on google friend connect, you should. Many threads.)
