Google image incorrect
-
For a few weeks now everytime I publish a post that shares to my google+ profile it’s displaying wrong image as well as if I try to reshare older posts. I have purposely used small images of 300 x 300 or less on my posts to make things easier for my email subscribers, however the image that gets attached to every post is now the same which is a random one from my homepage. Please tell me how to change that?

Hi there Ian, this seems to be an issue that others have noticed as well:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/google-share-link-wrong-image?replies=2I have looked at the Google + forum and found other users experience similar issues:
https://plus.google.com/communities/113648582731838175643/stream/6b624d16-756e-4850-bd2c-80b15b28e5beAs this appears to be an issue on Google’s end, I suggest following up with their support site. I’ll keep an eye out for news of a solution, as well.
In the meantime, one thing you can do to better your chances of having the correct image chosen, is to add a Featured Image to your posts. Here’s information about how to set that up here at WordPress.com:
