Google indexing

Hi guys,
I’m sure this has been asked before but no matter what I try nothing seems to work! I’m having trouble finding my site on Google. It has been more than 6 weeks since I’ve started the blog so I’m assuming that Google should have indexed it by now. I’ve tried submitting it to Google Search Console but one of the first steps is to paste a TXT record into the DNS configuration which I can’t seem to access/find on my dashboard.
Any help would be immensely appreciated! Thanks! -

6 weeks is actually a bit short – typically it takes eight weeks or longer for search engines to index a new site, and that further depends on how regularly you publish new content on your site – sites that are updated several times a week get indexed faster than sites that post less often.
In this case, you made your site publish on 12 April, and have only published three posts since then, with the last one on 10 May. So there’s not really anything on the site yet for search engines to index.
Try publishing new content more regularly, at least for a start, and your site will start showing up in search results.
Verifying your site with Google does help, but it’s not a magic bullet to instantly get your site indexed. You can check all the SEO boxes, if you don’t regularly update your site with new original content, search engines won’t show it.
TXT verification applies to sites with custom domains. On a free WordPress.com site, you can verify using the meta tag option instead:
