On searching my site, itspak.com on google, the second search results comes up as site map. It’s quite awkward to be there. (http://imgur.com/UIvmpTO)
And on clicking it, it leads to site map XML file.

I don’t want site map to be there. Please tell me how to m de index it?

    Hi,

I’m showing something slightly different on my side when I search your site in Google:

I’m afraid we don’t have any control over how Google indexes the individual pages of your site. It’s entirely possible that your sitemap would appear in search results. One possible way to improve this would be to setup Google Webmaster Tools:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

Although this isn’t required for Google to index your site, it can help provide information regarding what Google sees when it does index. Otherwise, as you continue to publish posts that are frequently shared and visited, Google should begin ranking these higher than your sitemap.

Thank you for your time but sorry this didn’t help me. I had consulted a third party expert and what he told me solved my problem within hours and was as easy as 1,2,3.
    It was:
Go to Google webmaster tools > your site > google index > Remove Urls.

I’ve shared it here if anyone else ever need this help.
