Google indexing/search issue (not updating)

    Hi, everyone!

One of my clients is in dire need of Google updating the search result title page for their blog. Originally, their product was supposed to be called YES but it has been recently discovered that a similar product already exists with the same name, so it needs to be changed.

I’ve searched the blog in question to remove all indications of the name YES, and I have followed this procedure and the Google Fetch feature to force a re-crawl by Google. I did it first last Friday and then yesterday but the searches still show a title of “Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YES)” I need to have that YES remove to prevent legal issues for my client.

    How long is the wait?

Something else that is throwing me off is that if I do a G-search for s string of “nets yes”, I get this result:

But if I search “Youth Entrepreneurship Program” I get this result:

Why do both links send to the same homepage but one shows (YES) and the other doesn’t? What am I missing? Anything I can do to help the process along? Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your client needs to contact Google Staff directly through his or her Google webamaster’s account.

I handle their Webmaster account :( How can I contact Google Staff?

I’m sorry but you will have to use Google search, search for Google webamasters accounts and follow instructions they provide for messages. We cannot help here with search engine indexing issues. What Google choose to display is their search engine results is, of course, their prerogative.

    oops! webamasters = webmasters :(

No worries, I got the idea ;)

BOO! Oh, well. I tried. You’re right. Google can display whatever it wants. Thank you :)
