Google Maps Not Embedding Anymore
-
I had Google Maps embedded on my contact page with no issue–the map would display on the page.
Recently, Google Maps is no longer displaying; instead, the shortcode [googlemaps…] displays on the page.
To address this issue, I have followed the exact steps provided by WordPress at http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/. It produces the same result: shortcode.
It appears that many are experiencing this issue. Is there a fix?
Thanks.

Hi there,
This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers. Also note that the support documentation for WordPress.ORG installs is here http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Hi timethief,
I do have an account on the .org, and will post there, thanks.
Unfortunate though, that there really has been no resolution to this issue that many are having with WordPress.
Hopefully, there will be a fix soon…
