Google MapsEngine lite – no shortcode

    Hi there,
    I need to embed a map generated by Google MapsEngine lite into my wordpress.com site.
    The embed code generated by Google is an iframe.
    I know that iframes are not generally supported by wordpress.com. However, I am aware that iframes from Google / Youtube and a few other are supported – embeded iframes are they are automatically converted to shortcodes – which can be viewed in wordpress.com.
    It seems that although Google Maps CAN be embedded in wordpress.com, Google MapsEngine lite maps CAN’T be embedded. The code just disappears – like any other non-supported iframe.
    Google MapsEngine lite is relatively new. Is it likely that these embed codes from Google MapsEngine will be supported by wordpress.com soon – via a auto-generated shortcode perhaps?
    Is there another way I can get this Google map to appear on my site?
