Google MX, Verification, Unknown Login and Password
-
I just got my own domain! hippy! So I go look at the Domain tab and I see “Enable Google MX” under the email tab. Of course, I am silly and I say Ok without knowing what Google MX is. Then it asks for a verification code, I have no idea what the verification code is and so I click on it (as it is hyperlinked) and it takes me to google. Google then asks me for a login and password which I also do not know. I check my email and I have yet to notice an email containing any of the information I do not know. Thank you for your time and energy! I will be very grateful for your help.

You need to sign up at Google and verify your domain. In this process you create the account. The FAQ entry linked to by Vivian explains the details.

I do that and select administrator and entery “trepe.net” and it says
This domain has already been registered with Google Apps. Please contact your domain administrator for instructions on using Google Apps with this domain.I select end user and it says enter email address at “organization” so I enter the one tied to my account and it didn’t like that so I finally found one it did like and it tried giving me another email address for my university’s url… so that was not kewl. So I try entering the email I ‘want’ and it says.
Google Apps for trepe.net has already been registered by your domain administrator. Please contact your admin directly to get access to Google Apps services.I have no doubt that the answer seems obvious to everyone but me. *laugh*
