google not able to verify ownership of site

  Hi! I’m trying to verify my site through Google Webmaster Tools. I have tried twice, and I’m given an error message:

  Verification failed for http://revangiem-n.com/ using the Meta tag method (less than a minute ago). We couldn’t find the verification meta tag.

  Just to be safe, I tried the same process with http://www.revangiem-n.com, and received the same result.

  How do I proceed?

  The meta tag is definitely displayed correctly. For some odd reason, it can sometimes take Google an hour or two to notice.
