Google not adding my post titles

Here i am again with the third problem in as many weeks. Am i cursed! I am listed with Google. If i type in “The Welsh Wanderer” i can find my blog, but Google don’t seem to be picking up my post titles, which they were doing previously. When i check on Google the most recent postings just have dates or my blog title “Wanderlust”, and no post titles. Yet i can’t find my blog by typing in “Wanderlust”. All my postings with titles that WERE on Google now seem to be disappearing day by day.Bing has indexed my post titles so i’m guessing it’s not a problem with my blog. Is this how Google works? I don’t understand why they had my post titles to begin with and now they don’t. Can anyone help? I feel that i am wasting my time with the blog if i’m not listed correctly with Google.

Never feel you’re wasting your time; isn’t the point of the blog to write stuff, rather than to get featured on Google?
Google is constantly changing things and tweaking stuff, so I wouldn’t worry too much; it’s probably a temporary thing that will settle down very soon.
Have you gone to Technorati and claimed your blog? Have you registered your blog with Google Blogsearch and Webmaster tools? Then you’ve done your part. Google will fix itself soon.

I agree with what you say and i have never been bothered by visitor numbers. I just do what i love. But, it’s a bit disconcerting to think i’m adding postings that will never be seen at all. It’s like talking to myself really! Thanks for the advice, i’ll hang on in there and see what happens, but Google haven’t picked up my most recent posting at all.

Good point. I have never thought about that but my posts also don’t pop on google. Oh well. I’ve decided to give up worrying about them and how they present the internet. Still, interesting to know.

Well taletellerin Google haven’t picked up my recent post, yet they have picked up this from the forum and added that, The mystery of Google!! So you never know, they may well add you now!!

Staff is working on that issue, so if they ARE related, they’ll probably be fixed at the same time.

Ahhh thank you raincoaster, now you mention that, a few days ago when i logged in i got a page that was something about hiderefer, i just logged out and back in as i didn’t know what it was and then everything was fine…except Google no longer added my page titles!! Sounds like you may well be a genius raincoaster ;)

Hmmm. Not sure if that is really it as people obviously still find my blog posts via google or at least some search engine. But in any case, good to know that staff is looking into the referral thing.

My latest post has now appeared in Google and with the actual post title too!! The first time they’ve added the post title in ages. So hopefully i’m all fixed, but lets not speak too soon ;)

You’re right. They seem to be back. Yay. Maybe it had something to do with google finally properly installing their sidebar? Or did I just overlook that features for days?
