Wholinkstome.com is definitely fubared. They’re not even picking up 10% of the links to my site, and they say Alexa says I don’t exist. Okay I barely exist on Alexa, but I exist!

Just noticed that Google is kicking out link results for my two new domains. I’m wondering if we have a pending PR update as they usually kick those out first for new domains.

Does anyone know if time away from updating your blog, like weeks or months, can lead to a drop in pagerank?

As I understand it, it does. I have a very high PR and I would guess that’s at least partly because I post several times a day.

Just checked today and I have a PR of 4, which isn’t bad. Most of my blogroll is lower than that, though I’d feel awful about kicking them off when they enthusiastically contact me gushing over Bridlepath and wanting a link. Flattery will get you everywhere with me. I s’pose I could think of it as good karma and that I’m pulling them up a little.

Pagerank is one of those weird things; it’s awfully meta and virtually meaningless, although high numbers look good. I would give the links IF their sites meet your standards and not worry about the effect on PR. One good Reddit will overcome any drag, and all of those people will be loyal to you when you need them.

Once in awhile one will hit. And if you have something you consider seriously viral-worthy, you could email all those who emailed you and asked for a link, asking for a reddit boost. It’s the least they can do, if they asked first.

Here’s mine
I did the best I could for everyone who wrote a “green” blog post. There’s still one day in March so maybe someone else who needs a link will write something on the environment today or tomorrow. If so I will honour my offer https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=9471&page&replies=23I know nosy is not feeling well and considering the situation of her page rank plummeting maybe the way for her to go is to ask a guest writer to fill in for a bit until she feels better again.
