I’ve connected my Google account but when I go to add my google photos to my blog post it says there aren’t any photos in the library, but there are.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @theholderfamteamlove ,

It’s great to hear you’re trying to connect your Google Photos! After reading the WordPress.com support documentation on Google Photos, there are two possibilities I can think of.

    1. Are you a G Suit user? If so, you will need to get access to your Google Photos enabled by your account administrator.
    2. The initial connection of Google Photos to your WordPress account could take a little bit of time. I see it has been a few hours since you posted on this forum. Are you able to see your photos now?

If neither of this possibilities resolves your issue, feel free to write back here and we will consider the next possible steps of action. I hope we get this working soon!

Thanks for your help but, No, It is still not working. I’m guessing I am not a G suite user since I don’t even know what that is. I just have a regular ol’ gmail account and I added a few photos on there since they have 15 GB free storage.
    Any other thoughts?

  • Hi theholderfamteamlove –

GSuite is an option that you can pay for to set up custom email with a custom domain. If you haven’t paid for it, or know about it, then I agree, you’re probably not using it.

Is the email address on your WordPress.com user account the same as the one where the photos are connected?

Are you working from the app or browser?

If working from the app, try this:
    – delete and reinstall the WordPress.com app
    – sign in
    – see if the Google photos are available through the media library

    If browser, try this:
    – try a different browser temporarily and see if the photos are connected
    – sign out of WordPress.com, and clear your browser cache then sign back in

Write back if you need more help. We’re happy to see this through.
